The Cleaner/Spotter of an Environmentally Friendly Lapels Plant is responsible for ensuring the overall production quality and profitability of garment cleaning. We typically look for a person with three (3) years of industry experience, who not only has prior knowledge of running a Dry Cleaning Plant, but is also open minded to seeing the benefits of using the Lapels program and systems of production. Applicants with no experience are welcome to apply as we do offer training opportunities for this position. Salary pay is based on level of experience.
Responsibilities
- Professional Spotting – including recognizing the type of stain and either pre spotting or post spotting that garment
- Running dry cleaning loads
- Finishing of garments
- Overseeing finishers & pressers to ensure quality work at profitable production levels
- Overall control of work
- Sorting of garments to proper stations throughout Plant
Experience Requirements
- Experience working in a fast paced environment similar to farming, industrial, or manufacturing labor
- Flexible hours including Saturdays
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle client’s garment with care
- Good hand/eye coordination and the ability to physically manipulate the pressing equipment.
- Previous pressing experience preferred, but not required and must be 18 or older.
