Following the lead of Momentum and other partners, effective January 2021, we only post jobs offering a minimum of $15 per hour. This decision reflects our belief in fair wages and our commitment to addressing wage disparities, especially in communities of color and immigrant populations.

As an organization, we hold this standard for ourselves. We believe that employees should make a minimum living wage to support and provide for their families. We know that the wage disparity in Memphis, Tennessee, and across the nation disproportionately impact communities of color and immigrant communities. We hope this initiative will encourage others to support systemic initiatives that will promote upward mobility.

• Employer-Employee Relations: Latino Memphis does not recommend potential employers or employees nor guarantee job vacancy validity. We also do not receive applications or collect applicant data. Hiring is directly between the applicant and employer.

• No Job Placement Assurance: We do not assure job placement for anyone using the Job Center, nor guarantee that an employer will fill a position.
