Senderos (Pathways) is an initiative focusing on digital literacy, financial empowerment, and job readiness. Funded by grants from a leading Latino civil rights organization in the US, it offers several programs designed to enhance the skills and opportunities of the Latinx community for success in the workplace and society.
Latinx @ Work
In partnership with Verizon Wireless and UnidosUS, Latino Memphis is proud to offer Latinx @ Work, a UnidosUs grant funded curriculum focusing on digital literacy, workforce readiness, and financial empowerment. Designed for those looking for work and opportunities for education and training, this online course consists of 7 classes that cover basics in collaborative online office Apps such as Google Docs, resume building and interviewing, workplace communication, and personal finance, including how to build a household budget.
Latinx @ Work is free of charge and open to persons 18 years of age and older. A computer with access to the internet is required to participate in the course. For more information or to register, use the contact information below.
Digital Skills for Life
Latino Memphis is proud to offer Digital Skills for Life, a UnidosUs grant funded curriculum that focuses on digital literacy. This 4 week online course consists of 8 lessons that help to build participant knowledge about and competence with digital devices, the internet, and different Apps. A major focus throughout the course is safety and security while connecting to and using the internet and Apps designed for personal use.
As a part of this course, participants will set and work toward specific goals related to their own personal, educational, and professional use of technology and objectives.This virtual course is free and open to persons 18 years of age and older. Latinx in Business
We are pleased to offer Latinx in Business, a cohort-based grant-funded program sponsored and created by UnidoUS with the generous support of Comcast. This free, online course consists of five classes over a period of five weeks designed to build capacity and empower the community in leveraging entrepreneurship as a gateway to financial stability and upward social and economic mobility. Specifically, this curriculum content provides digital solutions for small business owners and entrepreneurs interested in growing their business and clientele base and increasing their sales and services online. Latinx in Business is open to persons 18 years of age and older with an interest in entrepreneurship and small business startup regardless of whether they have a formally registered business or a business idea pending. Financial Empowerment Network (FEN)
With the generous support of UnidosUS, we are proud to present the Financial Empowerment Network (FEN). This program is designed to offer individuals interested in bettering their personal finances one-on-one assistance through access to a financial coach as well as to basic information concerning financial literacy in the US.
