The Pipeline Technician position uses trenchless technology to repair underground pipes, using epoxy coating, lining and other no-dig trenchless technology and construction rehabilitation processes. Work is regularly in nuclear plants, commercial, industrial, and government facilities. Candidates familiar with basic plumbing, pipefitting, CIPP, video inspection/mainline cameras, and those mechanically inclined are encouraged to apply. We are willing to train inexperienced individuals.
***The job does travel as needed for projects. All expenses, including transportation in company vehicles, hotels, and per diem, are paid for by the company.
Responsibilities
- OSHA regulated manual labor
- Work with resin and chemicals associated with the installation of cured-in-place liners; MSDS are available
- Enter and exit structures (Manholes, Vaults, etc.) leading to underground pipelines and safely work within the confined spaces in accordance with applicable Federal, State and company safety guidelines
- Ascend and descend a minimum 25’ ladder and work in elevated situations
- Use proper lifting technique to lift, walk, pull, and drag a minimum of 50 pounds, and stand most of the day
Experience Requirements
- Must pass a 10 year criminal background check due to work in nuclear facilities
- Must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Dependable, hard-working, able to pass a fitness to duty test
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Able to obtain DOT Medical Card, respirator fitness and audiometric certification
