Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Qualifications:
Experience
• 3 to 5 years of experience
Education
• High School Diploma
• Associate Degree
Requirements
• Proven experience as assistant director or other similar positions
• Technical training degree or High diploma
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and dexterity
• Successful completion of an apprenticeship is required
• Reliable transportation, license and insurance
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform duties including physical exertion such as climbing ladders, crouching and lifting objects over 50 pounds, Ability to follow safety standards and procedures.
Position Summary:
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.
• Assist in setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
• Ensures that maintenance equipment is operational by performing routine and preventative maintenance and cleaning of tools
• Performs painting work either for repair or preparation for moves-ins (sheetrock & mudding)
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix lock, replace windows etc.)
• Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
• Conduct general upkeep procedures and other task as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.)
• Willingness to be on call
• Some overtime may be required
• Complete all other duties as required
