The Building Maintenance Technician performs critical duties assigned by the Nursery & Market Manager. This person assists Management with preventative maintenance and repairs on the retail building, greenhouses, landscaping, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation of the facilities. The Building Maintenance Technician will report to the Nursery and Market Manager but should be a self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team. This is a Monday-Friday 30-40 hour per week position (Overtime opportunities possible during busy seasons for qualified staff).
Responsibilities
- Routinely inspect property and equipment for maintenance and repair needs
- Perform minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs and support in coordinating larger repairs as needed
- Maintain onsite landscaping with seasonal weeding, mulching, trimming, etc.
- Assist in unloading deliveries as needed
- Maintain equipment in working order and keep records of inventory for re-ordering purposes
Experience Requirements
- Required: 1-3 Years experience in a field related to construction or landscaping
- Preferred: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Preferred: Forklift experience
