This part-time position is for dedicated individuals who will serve as role models/mentors. You will have the chance to form lasting relationships, encourage positive behavior, and facilitate activities/curriculum that promote the overall welfare of students. In addition you will develop hands-on experience in social work, behavioral studies, and professional development. Responsibilities
- Serve as a facilitator for the Memphis Ambassadors Program or Building Out Successful Students Program
- Be a positive leader for students
- Function as an advocate for students by recognizing the problems, concerns, and opinions of individuals and presenting the student’s viewpoints to the appropriate program staff
- Engage students to meet personal goals and objectives
- Plan social and community service events to enrich the student experience
- Maintain student records
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education Requirements
- Junior or Senior currently enrolled in college working on an undergraduate degree in one of the social sciences, social work, education, or another related field.
- or Associate Degree
- or Youth Mentorship Experience
