We’re seeking a reliable and skilled Property Maintenance Technician / Handyman to support our rental portfolio in Memphis. This role is ideal for someone who’s experienced in handling day-to-day maintenance, unit turnovers, vacancy inspections, move-in walkthroughs, and general work order repairs.
This is a key role in maintaining tenant satisfaction, ensuring units are move-in ready, and helping us deliver a great rental experience.
Responsibilities:
Perform unit turnovers: basic repairs, patch & paint, cleaning coordination, etc.
Conduct vacancy inspections and report on unit condition.
Complete move-in walkthroughs and document any issues prior to tenant arrival.
Handle work orders such as minor plumbing, electrical, drywall, appliance troubleshooting, etc.
Communicate clearly with our team and update on job completion or delays.
Occasionally assist with coordinating vendors if outside trades are needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance tech in residential properties
Ability to handle basic repairs independently
Reliable transportation
Strong communication and follow-up skills
Comfortable using a smartphone to receive work orders, send photos, and updates
Preferred:
Experience with Section 8 or rental properties
Basic tools and materials
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
